(94+ Punkte) Wine Advocate: 92-94/100 Punkte The 2015 Léoville Poyferré is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc that was harvested between 24 September and 10 October. The IPT comes in at 80 with a pH 3.69. It has a typical Léoville-Poyferré bouquet at this stage: quite bullish and forthright, packed full of dense black cherries, red plum and cassis, the 85% new oak pronounced, but will be subsumed with bottle age. The palate is full-bodied with mouth-coating tannin: layers of graphite-infused black fruit, cedar and mint, almost Pauillac-like in personality with a sustained graphite finish. This is a sophisticated Saint Julien built for long-term ageing, perhaps less flamboyant than recent vintages, but the terroir shows through. Expect it to land at the top of my banded score, possibly higher. Trinkgenuss: 2020 bis 2040 Wine Spectator: 92-95/100 Punkte ´´This features depth and focus, with a really solid core of currant and blackberry lined with ample iron and briar notes. Not shy with the toast, but the finish is energetic, and everything is pulling together.´´ James Suckling: 95-96/100 Punkte ´´A dense and savory red with plenty of phenolic texture and ripe fruit character. Hints of walnut and spice too. Chewy finish. Solid center palate.´´ Decanter: 95/100 Punkte Lovely concentration of fruit already showing excellent florality, purity and density. Robustly elegant in the Poyferré style – ‘juicy and silky’, according to owner Didier Cuvelier. This is one for the long term.

James Suckling: 100 Punkte Clearly a perfect wine that shows incredible depth of fruit with currants, dark chocolate, minerals and licorice. Full-bodied, tight and wound up with ripe tannins that let go and seduce you. Makes me want to drink it now. But this is a wine for the long term. Extraordinary. 94% cabernet sauvignon. Better in 2020. Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate: 99 Punkte Tasted at the Mouton-Rothschild vertical in London, the 2010 Mouton-Rothschild is a modern-day benchmark for the First Growth and here, side-by-side with the 2009, it certainly has its nose in front. It is in possession of quite breathtaking delineation and precision, a crystalline bouquet with black fruit laced with minerals, potent pencil shaving notes, a touch of cold slate. It is totally entrancing. The palate has beguiling symmetry, but for me what really distinguishes this Mouton is its effortlessness. Like watching Usain Bolt in his prime sprinting to another world record, this wine is almost self-effacing in terms of its brilliance. Will Philippe Dhalluin ever better this Mouton-Rothschild? Keep it in the cellar for 15 years, if you know what´s good for you. Tasted May 2016. Genussreife: 2015 - 2075 Wine Spectator: 99 Punkte This remains the stunner, a battleship of a wine, brimming with cassis, blackberry and fig fruit that has melded together now, with the backdrop of alder, bay leaf and menthol starting to emerge a bit more. The long finish is loaded with grip, pulling the fruit and other components together. And then there´s that flash of iron at the very end. Awesome wine.--Non-blind Mouton-Rothschild vertical (March 2017). Sattes Purpur-Granat. Florales Bouquet, Brombeerstauden, Heidelbeerranken,Lakritze und Cassis, tiefgründige Würze. Homogener Gaumenfluss, veloursartigeTextur, samtene Tannine, dunkle Röstnoten im Untergrund, feminine Eleganz mitgenialem Rückaroma. Grosser, aber auch beruhigender Mouton. Genussreife: 2022-2055

CHÂTEAU HAUT BRION (SUBSKRIPTION) 1. GRAND CRU ...

(633,33 € / 1l)

Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate: 95-97/100 Punkte ´´Composed of 53% Merlot, 40.7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6.3% Cabernet Franc, the very deep purple-black colored 2017 Haut-Brion is a little closed on the nose, revealing fresh blackberries, black currants and dark chocolate with suggestions of pencil shavings, beef drippings, tilled soil and cracked black pepper plus a waft of lavender. Medium to full-bodied, it has very firm, ripe, grainy tannins and a lively backbone structuring the tightly knit earth and black fruit layers, finishing with compelling mineral and perfumed layers.´´ Vinous (Neal Martin): 94-96/100 Punkte ´´The 2017 Haut-Brion was picked from 31 August to 29 September, the longest harvest ever, matured in 69% new oak with 14.25% alcohol (lower than recent vintages.) It has a more generous bouquet than the La Mission Haut-Brion at this point: black cherries, blueberry, a little confit fruit, hints of warm gravel and clove. It is much more restrained than the previous vintages – cooler and linear. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, nicely structured with more grip in the mouth than the La Mission. What it has in common with the aforementioned is a sense of symmetry. It feels very persistent with a light marine/oyster shell influence on the finish. This probably has the edge over the La Mission Haut-Brion at the moment, but intra-family competitiveness aside, it boils down to a great follow-up to the brilliant 2015 and 2016.´´ Wine Enthusiast: 97-99/100 Punkte ´´Barrel Sample. The tannins are the secret of this bold wine granting longevity and great structure. At the same time, the ripe blackberry fruits are rich yet bright and fresh. The wine will take time to mature. Drink from 2025.´´ Decanter: 97/100 Punkte ´´A hugely captivating wine, one of the contenders for red of the vintage. There´s an incredible plush, dense texture to the fruit here, with just the slightest pulling back on the final section that suggests the damson, cassis and black cherry fruit is not at the full extent of ripeness seen in 2016 and 2015, but there is absolutely no question that this is a successful, rich and well-expressed wine. It´s extremely powerful and well constructed, with great tannins and a succulence which grows through the palate. 3.73pH.´´ James Suckling: 95-96/100 Punkte ´´A tight and focused red with dark-berry, chocolate and hazelnut character. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a linear and fine finish. Very refined. Elegant and balanced.´´ Weinwisser: 19+/20 Punkte ´´53 % Merlot, 40,7 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 6,3 % Cabernet Franc.

(646,67 € / 1l)

Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate: 96-98/100 Punkte ´´A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Château Margaux charges from the gate with opulent kirsch, raspberry preserves, wild blueberries and cassis notions accented by roses, violets, Chinese five spice and fragrant earth with touches of underbrush and truffles. Medium-bodied, it fills the mouth with vibrant, ripe red and blue fruits, layering in perfume and spice nuances. It´s framed by very finely grained and plush yet firm tannins and great tension, finishing with epic length.´´ James Suckling: 97-98/100 Punkte ´´This is a very dense Margaux, and especially for the vintage, with a full body, grainy tannins and a long and rich finish. Impressive depth of fruit and structure. Luscious and muscular at the same time.´´ Vinous (Neal Martin): 93-95/100 Punkte ´´The 2017 Margaux, matured in 100% new oak, was blended in the second half of February. It has a very pure, floral bouquet with scents of iris and violet infusing the black and subtle blue fruit. There are touches of crushed stone and with aeration, a little candied orange peel. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin, very harmonious in the mouth, caressing and sensual with black fruit, hints of graphite and a light marine influence. There is a fine build to this Château Margaux, commencing almost understated but finishing with an insistent grip and a long, quite spicy aftertaste. It´s not the bewitching 2015 however, it purrs like a Rolls Royce and will age with panache. Trinkreife: 2023-2045´´ Wine Enthusiast: 95-97/100 Punkte ´´Barrel Sample. There is a firm, tannic structure here, although it certainly doesn´t take away from the concentrated fruit. This wine is intense, full of black currants and great fruitiness. Both the fruit and structure are in harmony and balance. It´s a fine selection, although it´s not a wine for aging over many years. Drink from 2025.´´ Decanter: 96/100 Punkte ´´Wow! This makes the whole room smile. The stunning nose hits you right off the bat, followed by wonderful fleshy damson fruit. This has some of the best aromatics in the business this year and a wonderful creamy texture through the palate. There´s great density, and the tannins flatter it but they have menace and intent too, pulling the structure inwards and bouncing along to finish beautifully. This is more opulent than the Pavillon, which has some clear austerity, and the scale of the fruit is a little fresher than the 2015, with around the same ripeness level as the 2016. The 3.7pH is a little higher than the last two years, while an IPT of 73 is the same as last year. 37% of production went into the grand vin, including a 1% drop of Petit Verdot. Drinking Window 2027 – 2040”´´ Weinwisser: 19,5/20 Punkte ´´89 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 8 % Merlot, 2 % Cabernet Franc, 1 % Petit Verdot. 35 hl/ha. Mitteldunkles Rubinpurpur. 19.5/20 2027 – 2052´´ Vinous (Neal Martin): 93-95/100 Punkte ´´The 2017 Margaux, matured in 100% new oak, was blended in the second half of February.
